Where does KIGL fill gas cylinders?

Accepted Answer

At the Guwahati works on Maniram Dewan Road, Noonmati, Assam, where oxygen, nitrogen, argon, dissolved acetylene and carbon dioxide are filled. Cylinders are filled, tested and despatched from the same site. For a cylinder enquiry anywhere in Assam or the North East, ring 0361-4519363 and it starts there.

Do you deliver cylinders across all of North East India?

Accepted Answer

Assam is served from the Guwahati works directly. Beyond it, gas moves through our network of agents, which covers Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Assam, Odisha and other states. A cylinder has to be driven to you and driven back empty, so where you are relative to a works or an agent is what sets the lead time — tell us your location and quantity and you will get a straight answer.

Can you supply equipment outside the states you have works in?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Equipment is not radius-limited the way gas is. An acetylene plant, a PSA plant, a pipeline or a consignment of flashback arrestors is built at Kolkata, crated and commissioned wherever it is going — including outside India. That is why our equipment pages make no geographic claim while our gas pages do.

Why do you not have a page for every state you sell into?

Accepted Answer

Because most of them would be the same page with the place name changed, and that helps nobody deciding whether we can serve them. A state gets a page here when there is something specific to say about it — a works, a real distance, the industries we actually supply there. Everywhere else, tell us where you are and we will tell you straight what we can do.
