The licence numbers, so you can check them before you ask
Industrial gas is a licensed trade. Filling a cylinder, storing carbide, keeping acetone and marking a generator each need their own permission from a different authority. Every number below is transcribed from the issued document, with the authority that granted it and what it actually permits.

Licences and approvals
Numbers are given exactly as the issuing authority writes them, because that is the string a purchase officer checks against the register.

Two entries carry no date. The most recent renewal letter on file for each has passed its validity and the current one is not published here yet, so rather than show a lapsed date the entry gives the number and the scope. Ask us and the current letter is sent. A date we cannot stand behind is worse than no date at all.

What each licence actually permits
BIS Standard Mark on acetylene generators
Licence CM/L-0005405354 permits KIGL to apply the ISI Standard
Mark to acetylene generators manufactured to IS 8471 Parts 1 to 5, and runs to
30 September 2031. This is a different claim from designing to a standard. A BIS licence means
the Bureau has assessed the factory, the process and the testing, and that the mark on the
machine is backed by a licence number anyone can look up. For a buyer specifying an
acetylene gas plant against an Indian tender, it is the
document that matters.
PESO licences at the Guwahati works
Acetylene is filled and stored under Forms E and F of the Gas Cylinders Rules, 2016, first granted in 1984. Oxygen is filled under its own pair of licences at six filling points. Two further licences cover the materials rather than the gas: calcium carbide under the Calcium Carbide Rules, 1987, and acetone, the solvent that makes a dissolved acetylene cylinder possible, as a petroleum Class A storage under the Petroleum Rules, 2002. Four separate permissions, four separate inspections, for one product leaving the gate.
Factory licence
The Guwahati works is registered and licensed to operate as a factory manufacturing gases under the Factories Act, 1948, by the Chief Inspector of Factories, Assam, to 31 December 2027.
Why we publish the numbers
Because the alternative is asking you to take it on trust. Any supplier can write "PESO approved" on a page. The number, the authority and the scope are what let you check it against the register before you shortlist us, and they are what your technical bid will ask for anyway.
Certified copies go out with quotations as a matter of course. If you need them before that, for a pre-qualification or a vendor registration, ask and they will be sent the same day.
